Sometimes I miss the old rotary phones. This one is even before my days! :)
Candlestick
Phone - 1908
In the early days of the telephone, prior to the development of the
rotary dial, telephone calls were operator-assisted. To place a call,
you were required to pick up the telephone receiver and wait for the
telephone operator to answer with "Number please?" You would then ask to
be connected to the number you wished to call, and the operator would
make the connection manually, by means of a switchboard.
Have a great day - and maybe CALL an old friend!
